Description:
This class is your essential foundation for creating jacket and coat patterns that truly fit. Starting from your personal sloper, you'll draft both a jacket and coat shell with a fitted one-piece sleeve, then mock it up in muslin and fit it to your body. From there, we move into more advanced territory: a three-panel jacket, a two-piece fitted sleeve, notched and tailored collars, vents, pockets, and all the internal architecture that makes a garment hold its shape — facings, interfacing, stays, and lining. By the end of eight weeks, you'll have a complete, personalized pattern system you can use as the springboard for countless jacket and coat styles to come.
